REFORMER PILATES CLASSES
You will find our Reformer Pilates offerings across three spaces in Berlin at our BEYOND studios located in Kreuzberg, Charlottenburg, and Mitte, as well as our BECYCLE Studio in Düsseldorf.
The Reformer Room hosts a number of Reformer classes such as Reformer Method, Reformer 360, Reformer Reset and Cardio Reformer.
What makes our Reformer classes stand out is our attention to the quality of the movement, cueing for functional alignment and breathing techniques to call attention to the mind-body concentration that deepens the specificity of each exercise.
We craft an intentional experience for our students, carefully planning how the flow from one movement will lead to the next, and considering how to best counteract the stress of daily life.

Reformer Pilates sessions are renowned for their emphasis on controlled, deliberate movements that promote strength, flexibility, and body awareness. Unlike Lagree workouts, which are characterized by their high-intensity nature, Reformer Pilates offers a balanced approach to fitness, focusing on strengthening muscles while also improving joint stability and preventing injuries.
While Pilates can indeed elevate the heart rate, it achieves this through methodical movements that engage the muscles deeply, rather than relying on rapid, intense exercises. Studies have shown that working out at a moderate to high heart rate, as commonly experienced in Pilates, can enhance metabolic function efficiently.
When choosing between Reformer Pilates and Lagree, it's essential to consider your goals and preferences. Reformer Pilates is ideal for individuals seeking a holistic approach to fitness, emphasizing injury prevention and rehabilitation, as well as strengthening supporting muscles around the joints. On the other hand, if you prefer a more vigorous workout that combines cardio and strength training, Lagree might be a suitable option to explore.
Both Reformer Pilates and Lagree can be adapted to accommodate different fitness levels, but it's worth noting that while Lagree may be more physically demanding due to its intensity and resistance, Reformer Pilates poses its own challenges through slow, controlled movements that engage muscles in unique ways. Ultimately, the choice depends on your fitness goals, preferences, and tolerance for intensity.
